Pregnancy and the start of a new family are a very exciting time but it can be a time when many new questions and worries arise. If you are looking for a comprehensive guide outlining everyday risks in pregnancy and breastfeeding, this is it.

The book, written by Dr. Gideon Koren, is based on the Motherisk program at Toronto's Hospital for Sick Children, which is recognized as a reputable resource of information on substances and environmental factors that can cause birth defects and harm infants. This useful, easy-to-read book is an essential addition to the home handyman's bookshelf.

Author Steve Dodds is an architect and avid woodworker. He takes the reader on step-by-step instructions on what tools to buy, how to buy them and how to use them safely.

Dodds outlines what should be in a well-stocked tool chest for do-it-yourself plumbers, electricians and metalworkers. He even includes a list of tool essentials for the craft enthusiast and kids. He then goes on to describe 150 tools, noting the material each tool is designed for, the relative necessity for owning it and the level of skill needed to use it.
